Peter and the Starcatcher
 

Clackamas High School is delighted to present Peter and the Starcatcher, opening Friday, March 2nd at 7:00 pm. Peter and the Starcatcher (nominated for nine Tony Awards and winner of five) follows the journey a nameless orphan boy takes toward discovering his true self. Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the fantastical, hilarious, fast-paced stage adaption stands on its own as a testament to imagination, the spectacular power of friendship, and the magic that is possible when we expose the hidden strengths within everyone!


Audiences will join our group of storytellers on a rip-roaring adventure filled with surprises and laughter. An orphan boy and his mysterious new friend, Molly, with the Lost Boys in tow, overcome sneaky pirates, mischievous thieves and a monstrous crocodile on their quest to keep a magical substance out of the hands of all the ne'er do well power mongers of the world. With the help of their friends, Peter and Molly work together to outsmart and outmaneuver the infamous “Black Stache”. The mad capped voyage is peppered with music as our heroes and their foes journey across the high seas and land on the whimsical Mollusk Island.


The spectacle sets sail on the high seas beginning March 2nd at 7:00 p.m for a limited run. Additional evening show dates are March 3rd, 9th and 10th at 7:00 p.m. Matinee performances are March 4th and 11th at 2:00 p.m.

 Annie is the timeless tale of a fierce orphan who goes on an adventure throughout New York City in the hopes to find her biological parents. As she goes on this adventure, she meets a trusty dog, a "Hooverville" community, and ends up in the hands of the richest man in New York. Come join us on this adventure, complete with catchy songs, wonderful dance numbers, and a classic story that will never die out.

Peter and the Starcatcher is a play based on the 2004 novel Peter and the Starcatchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, adapted for the stage by Rick Elice. The play provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs Darling, Tinkerbell and Hook, and serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy. Audiences watch as the fierce young Molly and a boy (who eventually gains the title of Peter) fight to escape pirates, natives (who are completely against the British), and a villain just looking for a nemesis. Complete with shipwrecks, flying creatures, and a ticking crocodile, this show is laughs and adventure until the very end.
